TPHS were appointed to prepare a full detailed Transport Assessment and separate Commercial and Residential Travel Plans to support an application for a major mixed-use scheme comprising 220 residential units and 10,000m2 of offices at Alma Road Windsor.

The work involved a detailed highways assessment and improvements to site access road, as well as design of on-site servicing and delivery spaces, assessment of multi modal trips and parking assessment and detailed negotiations with RBWM on changes to travel demand and parking ratios with mitigation measures including provision of three car club spaces and dedicated shuttle bus for the offices between the site and railway station.

The scheme was approved by officers in highways terms but the client appealed the scheme on the basis of non determination. At the subsequent Inquiry TPHS provided and presented detailed evidence as part of Rule 6 objections on parking and transport. The appeal was allowed by the Inspector.
