TPHS were appointed by Carvall Homes with regard to development of a backland site in Cousldon.

Firstly we carried out an appraisal of the scope to deliver appropriate access arrangements and site layout – taking into account the challenging topography of the site, in particular the steep gradient from the frontage.

The appraisal covered visibility and layout geometry including speed and traffic surveys, whilst the site layout was developed against the background of manoeuvrability for the car parking and on-site servicing and consideration of the road vertical profile.

Following the initial work, we then prepared a full Transport Statement to support the planning application to LB Croydon for residential units.
