Balham Bowls Club

TPHS were appointed by Balham Properties LLP to advise initially on the purchase and due diligence at the former bowling club and clubhouse.

The main issues were access from a jointly owned access where improvements were necessary to achieve the access required. TPHS provided the client with a detailed options assessment and looked carefully into the legal ownership and access rights to the property and land to ensure that the access solution was sound and could not be challenged.

We were able to formulate for the client a good strategy from which to negotiate a successful access. LB Wandsworth needed convincing of the transport merits of the scheme and TPHS were able to put together and articulate to senior officers at the Council the rationale for parking, access and servicing issues.

The scheme was granted consent in 2019.
